He leverages his unique experience as a president, investor, finance executive, consultant and board member with an extensive personal network. Experienced CEO/President/Operating Partner for 12 manufacturing, distribution and service companies. He served as an interim CFO, Investor with a Family Office, Principal of an LBO firm and President of a $3B diversified alternative investment firm.

T.D. is a proven leader that makes tough values-based decisions, builds teams, develops and executes plans to grow EBITDA by implementing lean processes that improve customer satisfaction, measurable results, and value. Diverse industry experience working for entrepreneurs, PE, VC, Fortune 50 and family-owned companies in start-up, growth, performance improvement, distressed and turnaround situations. T.D. was the President of Ritchie Capital Management, a $3B diversified alternative investment firm investing in private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, venture lending, distressed debt, real estate, energy, insurance, equities, bonds and options trading with over 200 teammates in Geneva, Chicago, NYC, London, Bermuda, Hong Kong and Menlo Park. TD also served as the CEO of Telemotive Industrial Controls, an electronics firm, and President of Shaped Wire, an automotive, medical and packaging manufacturer.

Prior to his corporate career, TD served as an officer in the U.S. Army from 1981 to 1986 as a helicopter pilot and the youngest staff officer for the 82nd Airborne Division. He helped organize Pete Dawkins’ run for U.S. Senate; the 1988 Republican National Convention; George Bush’s Presidential Debates; and the 1991 Desert Storm Homecoming Celebration in D.C. He has served on over 30 for profit, non-profit boards and is currently on the board of advisors for Camcraft, the Wheaton Academy Foundation, Duke Sports Medicine Feagin Leadership Program, and Mission Measurement. He formerly was active in the Young Presidents’ Organization.

T.D. earned a B.S. in engineering from West Point in 1981, was on the dean’s list and a quarterback on the Army football team. He received an MBA from Duke in 1988 and was president of his class. He lives in Wayne, IL with his wife and four children.
